Our shop is at No: 17 on 1st Cross Street, right off the 1st Main Road in Sri Ambal Gajalakshmi Nagar. We are in the North Ragunathapuram part of Mangadu. It’s a quiet-ish neighborhood but there are plenty of small businesses tucked into the side streets. Krb Engineering & Services is one of those places where you just see people working with their hands. The street is narrow enough that you have to be careful with where you park. We have been here at No: 17 for a good while, and we know most of the neighbors. The workspace is filled with all sorts of parts and the usual mess that comes with engineering. We don't go in for fancy uniforms or corporate meetings. We just show up, see what needs to be fixed or put together, and get on with it. The sound of tools running is pretty constant during the day. Sometimes a neighbor stops by to chat while we are taking a break outside. It’s a local way of working, just focusing on the job and not worrying about anything else. The humid weather in Mangadu can make the afternoons feel long, but there is always something to keep us busy until it’s time to go home. It is a plain engineering service run by regular people who know their way around a workshop. We just do the work and try to keep things moving along.
