Kowtha Steel

Kowtha Steel is over at 51, Periyar Nagar, in the Padi area. It is an industrial kind of spot, so there is always the sound of machinery and trucks nearby. We have been here for a good length of time, just doing our thing with steel supplies. The shop is mostly just a warehouse with a small desk in the corner where we keep the paperwork. We don't have any fancy displays or a reception area. If you come by, you'll likely see us moving bundles of metal around or talking to a driver. Padi is a busy place, and Periyar Nagar has its own rhythm with all the small shops and workshops. We aren't interested in sounding like a big corporation because we are just local folks working a job. Most of our customers are builders or small contractors who have been coming to us for a long time. We keep the doors open early and stay until the last delivery is sorted. Sometimes the rain makes it hard to move the heavy stuff, but we find a way. It is a basic business model: we have steel, and people buy it. We don't make it more complicated than that. Every day is pretty much the same, and we like the consistency of the routine. It is just about being there when the customer needs a specific size of rod or plate.
