Sri Dakshina Shoes

The shop is at No. 3/227 on the Kundrathur Main Road in Kovur. It is a straightforward shoe store where we keep a variety of sizes and styles on the shelves. Most of the day is spent helping people try on different pairs and looking for the right box in the back room. The back room is a bit of a mess, if I am being honest, with boxes stacked up almost to the ceiling. We try to keep it organized by size but sometimes things get misplaced when we are busy. The floor is just tile and we have a couple of old chairs for people to sit on while they check the fit. Kovur is a busy spot and the main road stays loud with traffic from morning till night. Sometimes the dust from the street comes in through the open door and we have to clean the shoes on display so they don't look dull. We don't do any big advertising; people usually just see us while they are out running other errands. We have been here for a while and we know which styles the locals prefer for their daily walk. It is simple work, just making sure people have something decent on their feet. We are usually here six days a week, just keeping the shop running and talking to whoever stops in.
