Kkr Metal Components

Our shop, Kkr Metal Components, is located at 355 in the Sidco Industrial Estate in Ambattur. Anyone who knows Chennai knows that Ambattur is a massive place for metal work. We are just one of the many units tucked away in those long streets. Our building isn't anything special to look at, just a sturdy place where we can run our machines. Inside, it’s mostly metal scraps, oil, and the sound of hammers or presses. We don't have a fancy lobby or a person to greet you at the door. You just walk in and find whoever isn't busy. The air is always a bit heavy with the smell of scorched metal and coolant. We have been working out of this spot for years now. The guys on the floor know exactly what they are doing, and half the time they don't even need to look at the gauges. It’s all about the feel of the metal. We have lunch together near the back where it’s a bit quieter. Sometimes we stay late when a big order needs to go out, but mostly we stick to the regular hours. The traffic in Ambattur can be a nightmare, so we all try to get in early before the roads clog up. It’s hard work, and our hands are rarely clean, but it’s a living and we are good at what we do.
