We operate out of 2-A Prince Apartment Opposite Corporation Bank 18/59 Ormes Road. It’s an apartment building that has been converted for office use, so it feels more like a home than a corporate tower. We deal with trade and commodities mostly. There’s a lot of paperwork involved every day. The desks are usually covered in files and the phones ring quite a bit. It’s just a small team of us here. We’ve been at this location for a while and the neighborhood is familiar. Ormes Road can get a lot of traffic, especially in the afternoons. We usually have our lunch together in the small pantry area. It's not a fancy setup. We have some computers, a printer that jams once in a while, and enough chairs for everyone. We spend our hours tracking prices and talking to suppliers or buyers. Sometimes the market is slow and we just sit around catching up on filing. Other days it’s a bit chaotic and we are all running around trying to meet deadlines. We don't have a big mission statement on the wall. We just come in, do the trading work, and head home when the day is done. It’s a straightforward business and we like keeping it that way without any extra fluff. The security guard at the gate knows all of us by name now. It’s just a regular office life in Chennai for us.
