Ayush Earthmovers

We operate Ayush Earthmovers from our place at 3/134 along the ECR in Vettuvankeni. Being located right on the East Coast Road means there is always a lot of traffic and noise passing by our gates. We started this business because there was so much construction happening all around the coast and people needed heavy machines for their plots. We have a few backhoes and excavators that we keep parked in the yard when they aren't out on a job. They aren't brand new machines, and they have plenty of scratches and dents from years of digging in the hard dirt. Keeping them running takes a lot of work and regular maintenance. My hands are usually covered in oil from fixing a hydraulic leak or changing out a dirty filter. The yard gets very dusty when the wind blows off the ocean, and when it rains, it turns into a big mud pit that is hard to walk through. We don't have a big office building. It is just a small cabin where we keep the equipment keys and our logbooks. Most of our work comes from people telling their friends about us. Someone is building a compound wall or clearing a piece of land and they need a machine for a few days. We send the operator out and hope for good weather so they can finish.
