Varv Kuchen

Our place is at 4b Bhaggyam Lakeshore, right on the 200ft Thoraipakkam Pallavaram Road in Keelkattalai. It is a very busy road, so there is always the sound of traffic in the background while we work. We focus on kitchens here. Mostly, that involves a lot of measuring and figuring out how to fit cabinets into tight corners. We have a small area where we show off a few designs, but the real business happens in the back where we get things ready. The air is usually a bit thick with sawdust and the smell of wood glue. We aren't designers with fancy suits; we are just people who know how to put a kitchen together. People stop in on their way home to talk about what they want to do with their houses. We just listen and try to give them something that will last. Sometimes things don't go perfectly on the first try, so we have to go out and fix a drawer or a door that doesn't hang right. That is just the way it is with custom work. We have a small crew and we all know our jobs. It’s a busy, dusty life, but it’s what we do. We don't have any big mission, we just want to get the job finished so we can move on to the next one and keep the shop going.
