Our place is at No. 77, which used to be No. 39, on Thambu Chetty Street. If you know this part of the city, you know how packed and lively it gets. It’s one of those old streets where businesses have been for generations. We fit right in with the rest of them. Our office is full of history, or at least it feels that way because of how long we’ve been dealing with things here. The Karle Group covers a few different things, but it all happens from this one main spot. It gets dusty, and the noise from the street never really stops, but we wouldn't want to be anywhere else. There is a lot of paper moving back and forth every day. We don't have any of those modern open-plan offices you see in magazines. It’s more like a series of rooms filled with desks and people who have worked together for a long time. We know the tea seller on the corner and the people in the shops next door. It feels like a real community. Sometimes we stay late to catch up on things, and the street looks completely different once the shops start closing up. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to keep doing what we do from our little corner on Thambu Chetty Street without making things more complicated than they need to be.
