Kalapurna Steel & Engineering Co.

We are tucked away in Office No. 1 on the ground floor of R.K. Building No. 3. It is down 8 Khetwadi Lane, just off Chorni Road. Kalapurna Steel & Engineering Co. has been operating out of this spot for quite some time. Being on the ground floor is handy because steel parts are heavy. We do not have to lug things up stairs. The lane is narrow, so it can get a bit crowded when deliveries are happening. It is a no-nonsense kind of place. You will see blueprints on the tables and samples of metal lying around. The lighting isn't the brightest, but we know where everything is. It is a bit of an old-school engineering vibe. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at specs. The building itself has seen better days, but it is sturdy. There is always the smell of grease or cut metal in the air around here. We do not bother with fancy signs or anything. People who need us usually know exactly where to find us. It is a working office, not a showroom. Sometimes we have to move the chairs just to make room for a new crate of parts. It is just how it goes when you are dealing with engineering stuff in a space like this. We take our lunch breaks together and talk about the day's tasks. It is a steady life here on Khetwadi Lane.
