Our shop is located at 5/80 on Mogappair Road in the Mannurpet area. It is a pretty industrial part of town, so we fit right in with the other warehouses and workshops around here. We deal with all sorts of metals and alloys every day. The space is mostly taken up by racks of material and the scales we use for weighing things out. It isn't the cleanest place in the world, as metal dust and scraps tend to get everywhere no matter how much we sweep. We don't have a team of salesmen or anyone in a suit. Most of us are usually wearing work clothes and handling the heavy lifting. If you need a specific type of alloy, we usually have to go back into the storage area to find the right piece. It might take a minute, but we know our inventory. We’ve been here long enough that the local regulars know the routine. We don't spend money on advertising or making things look pretty. We just provide the metal and get on with the next task. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it's quiet enough to catch up on the bookkeeping. It’s a basic business, and we like keeping it that way. Dealing with raw materials means you have to be practical, and that is exactly how we run things day in and day out. It is tough work, but it keeps us going well enough.
