You can find us at 282 Lingi Chetty Street, right in the heart of Parry’s Corner. If you’ve ever been to this part of Chennai, you know how crowded and busy it gets. It’s one of those old parts of the city where every building has a story to tell. Gimpex Ltd. has been here for a long time, and we’ve seen the streets get more and more packed every year. Our office is in one of those classic buildings with the narrow stairs and the old-fashioned windows that let in the street noise. It’s a bit of a struggle to find parking around here, so most of us just take the bus or walk from the station nearby. Inside, it’s a bit quieter than the street, but not by much. We handle a lot of different things, mostly trade stuff, so there is always a lot of movement. We don’t really go in for the modern corporate look with glass walls. Our desks are old wood, and there are files everywhere you look. It feels like a real place where people actually work hard. The humidity can be a bit much sometimes, but we just keep the fans on and get on with it. We know the neighbors, the guys selling fruit on the corner, and the people at the bank nearby. It’s a community of businesses all trying to make it through the day in this heat and the constant bustle of the city.
