Kalam Ganthi Marine Fish Hatcheries Private Limited

We are located in Adambakkam on the first floor of a building on Karuneegar Street. It’s number 7. If you know this part of Chennai, you know Adambakkam is a busy residential spot with lots of small lanes. Having a fish hatchery business right here might seem odd to some people, but it works for us. We handle the very early stages of marine fish life. It involves a lot of water, specialized tanks, and very careful watching. The office isn't much to look at. It has that specific old Chennai building smell, a mix of salt and dampness on rainy days. We spend most of our time monitoring the hatchlings. It's delicate work. If the water temperature shifts even a tiny bit, we have big problems. Karuneegar Street is quite narrow, so parking a car is always a total headache. We usually tell people to come by bike if they can. Kalam Ganthi is the name on the door, but most neighbors just call us the fish guys. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the world. We just want to make sure the fish we hatch are healthy enough for the next stage of growth. It’s a lot of quiet hours just observing the tanks. Sometimes we stay very late when a new batch is coming in. It’s just the three or four of us here mostly. We don't have a big sign. Just the address in Adambakkam where we work.
