K V P Machine

We are located at 34, Third Street in the Ambattur Industrial Estate. If you know the area, you know it's full of shops like ours, all making different kinds of noise throughout the day. K V P Machine is just one of many, but we’ve carved out our own little corner here. The street is always lined with parked vehicles and delivery vans, so finding a spot can be a bit of a headache sometimes. Inside, it’s exactly what you’d expect from a machine shop. There is oil on the floor, the smell of coolant in the air, and metal shavings that seem to get into everyone’s shoes no matter how much we sweep. We have some heavy equipment that takes up most of the floor space, leaving just enough room for us to move between the benches. It’s not the quietest environment to spend ten hours a day in, but we’ve grown used to the hum of the motors and the clinking of steel. Lunch is usually a quick affair, sometimes eaten right there at the workbench if we’re in the middle of a project. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know the machines inside and out. It’s a practical kind of life, focusing on the tasks right in front of us. Most of our neighbors are doing the same thing, so there’s a bit of a community feeling on Third Street despite the industrial grit.
