We are located down at Old No 4 New No 42 on 2nd Line Beach, right in the heart of Parrys. If you know this part of Chennai, you know how it gets. It is always loud with the traffic and the people moving about, and the salt air from the coast kind of hangs over everything. We have been operating K Steamship Agencies Pvt Ltd from here for a good while now. The office isn't anything fancy, just a place where we get the work done. Mostly it is about handling the ships and all the paperwork that comes with them when they dock. Some days the phones don't stop ringing and other days we are just buried in files. The stairs are a bit steep and it gets quite warm in the afternoons, but that is just how it is in this neighborhood. We spend a lot of time talking to port officials and making sure things are moving like they should. It is a lot of back and forth. No one here wears a suit unless they really have to. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay on top of the schedules. We just keep at it, day after day, in this little corner of the city.
