You can find our office over in Jeppiar Nagar, which is right on the Old Mamallapuram Road in Chennai. Most people call this OMR and it is famous for having all those big IT companies, but we are here doing steel work instead. The 600119 area is always busy with traffic and you can hear the horns honking from our desks all day. Chennai gets very hot, so we spend a lot of time trying to stay cool while managing the logs and orders. Jsw Steel Limited has a lot going on here because of how fast the city is growing. It’s a lot of sitting at desks and making sure the trucks are on the right path. The building is pretty plain and we don't have anything like a fancy lobby. We just have our desks, some old files, and plenty of tea to keep us going through the afternoon. It feels like a very local spot despite the big name on the door. There are a few small shops nearby where we go for lunch or to grab a quick snack. It is a long commute for some of us because the OMR traffic is usually a nightmare during the morning and evening hours. We just put our heads down and get the work done. It is a practical environment where the focus is just on the steel and the transport schedules.
