We’ve been at the AMS Complex on Sudarson Nagar Madambakkam Main Road for a while now. Most days it’s just us handling whatever metal work comes through the door. It gets pretty loud here with the cutting and welding going on, but that’s just how the shop is. We don’t really have a fancy office or anything like that. People just drop by when they need something made or a gate repaired. It’s a busy spot near the main road so there is always noise from the traffic too. We handle a lot of different jobs, some small and some that take up the whole floor space for a week. Sometimes things get a bit dusty but we try to keep the workbench clear enough to work. If you walk past No.53, you’ll probably see someone out front moving pieces of steel around. We just get on with the work as it comes in. It’s not a big corporate setup, just a local fabrication place where we know most of the people who come in. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years but we’re still here doing the same thing. Usually, the coffee break is the only time the machines go quiet for a bit. It is practical work and we try to do it right the first time so we don't have to redo it later. We have a few old fans that don't do much but we survive the heat okay.
