Jem Hardware Mart

Jem Hardware Mart is located at No. 36 on Tana Street in Purasawalkam. This is one of those old parts of the city where the streets are narrow and always full of life. We have been here for a long time, and the shop has become a bit of a fixture on Tana Street. We sell all the usual hardware items. If you need a new lock for your door or some tools for the garden, we probably have it somewhere on the shelves. The shop is quite small, so we have to stack things high. It can be a bit of a puzzle to get to the items at the back, but we have a ladder and we know our inventory well. We don't use any fancy computer systems to track our stock; it’s mostly just in our heads and written down in a ledger. Our customers are mostly local residents and workers who have been coming to us for years. They know us by name, and we know them. It’s a friendly place. The street outside is always noisy with scooters and people walking by, which keeps things interesting. We aren't looking to expand into a giant chain. We like being a local hardware mart where people can get what they need without any fuss. It’s a simple business, and we plan to keep it that way. We just keep the doors open and help whoever walks in.
