Kalanjiam Hardware Stores

We've been here on Devaraja Mudali Street for a long time now. If you're looking for us, we are right across from the Paikadai Masjid in Park Town. Most days it gets pretty busy around here, but we try to keep things organized at 32 and 33. It’s a hardware store, so there are piles of things everywhere, from small nails to bigger tools people need for their houses or jobs. Chennai weather is usually hot, so the shop stays open and people just come in and out all day. We handle a lot of different customers, some who know exactly what they want and others who just bring a broken piece of something and ask if we have a match. It’s not a fancy place with air conditioning or anything like that. We just have shelves full of metal bits, pipes, and whatever else people ask for. Sometimes the traffic on the street is a mess, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We just keep doing what we do every day. Dealing with hardware means getting your hands a bit dirty sometimes. It’s a straightforward business. We try to stock what people usually look for so they don't have to wander around too much. If you need something for a repair, we're likely sitting here behind the counter waiting for the next person to walk through the door. It’s just us.
