Rahman Hardware Mart

Rahman Hardware Mart is located at No: 37, General Patters Road, right in the heart of the Mount Road area. This street is famous for hardware, and we’ve been here as long as most. The shop is filled from floor to ceiling with all kinds of metal goods, tools, and spare parts. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we know exactly where everything is kept. The air in here always has a bit of a metallic smell to it. We deal with all sorts of people, from local handymen to big contractors. Everyone is looking for something specific, and we do our best to find it in our stacks. The counter is old and has plenty of scratches from years of sliding heavy items across it. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just us, the inventory, and the customers. The ceiling fans don't do much when it's really humid, but we’re used to the Chennai heat. We usually have a bit of a rush in the mornings and then it settles down into a steady rhythm. We don't do any flashy advertising. People just know us from word of mouth. It’s a basic business built on showing up every day and having the right hardware on hand. We've been at number 37 for a long time and plan to stay.
