Jd Steel Corporation

Jd Steel Corporation is situated on Mal Godown Road. We are quite close to S. Shankarlal’s place, which is how most people find us if they get lost. Being near the godown means we see a lot of activity from the railway. You can hear the engines switching tracks and the whistles blowing throughout the day. It is a very industrial part of the area and there is always a layer of soot on the windows. We spend most of our time out in the yard or sitting at the old wooden desk inside. It is not the cleanest place to work but we don't mind the dirt much anymore. The road outside is pretty rough and gets muddy when it rains, so we usually have to keep some old rags by the door for people to wipe their boots. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just focus on what is right in front of us. Most of the time it is just about managing the stock and talking to the drivers. Sometimes we have a bit of a laugh when things go wrong because that is just part of the job. It is a simple operation and we like it that way. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that, just a few of us here trying to keep things moving along the godown road. It is just regular work for regular people.
