Jak Engineers

If you walk down East Mada Street in Velacheri, you’ll find Jak Engineers at number 19 B. It’s a well-known street, though parking can be a bit of a nightmare if you arrive at the wrong time. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. The shop isn’t huge, but it fits everything we need to get the job done. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby; you usually just walk in and find one of us working on something. It’s a very local feel here. Most of our neighbors are shops or families who have lived in Velacheri forever. We handle a lot of different engineering tasks, mostly manual stuff that requires a bit of patience and a steady hand. The air outside is always busy with people going to the temple or the market, but inside we just focus on whatever is on the bench that day. We try to keep things simple. If a part can be fixed, we fix it. If it needs to be made from scratch, we do that too. It’s not a high-tech lab, just a solid place where tools and metal meet. We don’t use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We just work. It’s honest labor and we like the fact that we’re part of the local community right here on East Mada Street.
