Our place is tucked away in Meenakshi Amman Nagar on Avvai Street at number 5. It is a bit of a residential area around here, so we try to keep the noise down when we can. Working with steel products is not exactly a quiet job though. We handle all sorts of steel items and manage the stock from this location. People know us as International Steel Exchange, but we are just a few guys working in the Alwarthirunagar area. The office is very basic with just the essentials. We spend most of our time on the phone or checking what we have in the yard. It is not a huge or fancy warehouse, just a practical space where we can get things done. We have deliveries coming in and out throughout the week. Sometimes the trucks find the street a little tight, but they always manage to get through. We have gotten used to the daily rhythm of this spot. There is a lot of paperwork to keep track of, but we try to stay on top of it. We are not into big marketing or trying to sound like some giant global corporation. We just want to do the job properly and go home. Some days are longer than others, especially when a big shipment arrives late in the afternoon. We have been in this specific spot for some time now and the neighbors are used to us being here. It is just standard steel trading.
