Our place is located at 439, Sidco Industrial Estate in Ambattur. It’s a busy area with a lot of noise and movement from the other workshops around us. We handle a lot of stainless steel fabrication here, which means our floors are usually covered with scraps and our ears are full of the sound of grinders. We aren't a big corporate office with glass walls; we are more of a grease-under-the-fingernails kind of operation. The guys here have been working with metal for quite some time, so they know their way around a welding torch. We mostly just keep our heads down and work on whatever orders come in for the day. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the shed when a big shipment of raw material arrives, but we manage to find space. Ambattur is a good place for a business like ours because there are always people looking for metal work nearby. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s mostly just us answering the phone and checking the measurements on the workshop floor. If you walk by, you’ll see the dust and the sparks flying, which is exactly how an industrial unit should look. It’s hard work and the hours can be long when we have a deadline, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the estate. We just try to do an honest job with the steel we have in front of us every day.
