India Tools & Metal Mart

We are situated at No 148 on Angappa Naicken Street. That’s in the Parrys area, which is always incredibly busy. Our post box is 1607 if you ever need that. India Tools & Metal Mart is a name we’ve had for a long time. The shop is filled with all kinds of metal pieces and tools. It’s a bit dark inside because the buildings are so close together on this street. We have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, packed with stuff. Sometimes we have to use a tall ladder just to find what a customer is looking for. It’s a lot of manual work, moving heavy items and keeping track of everything. We don't have a computer system that tells us where everything is; we just know. Parrys is a place where you have to be quick or you get pushed aside. The noise from the traffic is constant. We’ve been here through many seasons, watching the street change. We aren't polished business people with suits. We wear simple clothes that can get a bit dirty from the metal dust. Most of our customers are workers or other shop owners from the neighborhood. We don't make big claims about being the best. We just sell tools and metal and try to be fair with everyone who walks through the door. It’s how we’ve always done things at India Tools & Metal Mart.
