You can find us at No 20-A in Kasthuribai Nagar, which is right by the 3rd Cross Street in Adyar. We’re pretty close to the Adyar Nalli Silks, so that’s usually how people find their way here. We deal with cooling systems and engineering stuff, which is pretty important given how hot it gets in Chennai. The shop is always full of tools, pipes, and old units that we’re looking at. It isn't the cleanest place in the world, but we know where every single wrench is. We started out small and stayed that way because it's easier to manage things ourselves. My brother usually handles the site visits while I stay back to manage the walk-ins and the phone. The morning coffee from the stall nearby is what keeps us going. We don’t have a marketing department or anything like that; we just rely on people telling their neighbors that we did a decent job. Sometimes the traffic on the main road makes it hard for our van to get out, so we have to leave early. We’ve seen a lot of businesses come and go in Adyar, but we’ve managed to stick around. It’s just honest work with machines that need fixing. We don’t promise anything crazy, we just show up and do what we can with the parts we have. Sometimes we run out of storage, but we make it work.
