I Organic

Our little shop is located at 23 Rajaji Road in Tambaram. If you know the area, we are very close to the Tambaram Railway Station, so we get a lot of people just passing through on their way to catch a train. The place is called I Organic. We started it because we wanted to have a spot where you could find regular items without too much extra stuff added to them. It is not a very big store, so things can get a bit cramped when we get a new delivery of grains or oils. We spend a lot of time just moving sacks around to make space. It’s usually just two of us working here, so if we are busy with a customer, the other one is probably in the back checking the inventory. The noise from the trains and the station announcements is something we have just gotten used to over time. It’s just part of the background now. We don't do much in the way of fancy displays. We just put the stuff on the shelves and hope people find what they need. Sometimes the vegetables don't look perfect, but that's just how they grow naturally. We don't try to hide that. It’s a lot of work keeping everything clean and making sure the jars are lined up right. We’re just a local business trying to do our part in the neighborhood and keep the shelves stocked for everyone.
