Hitat Builders & Developers Private Limited

We have been operating out of our small office at 1, Bethesda Street in Nethaji Nagar for a while now. Being in Chennai, the weather usually dictates how our day goes. If it's too hot, we try to get the site work done early in the morning before the sun gets unbearable. Hitat Builders & Developers Private Limited isn't a massive corporation with glass buildings; we are just a group of people working on local building projects. Most of our time is spent on the phone talking to suppliers or walking around construction sites to make sure things are moving along. The office usually has a few plans rolled up on the desks and a bit of dust from the street outside. People stop by to ask about plots or house repairs quite often. It gets busy during the middle of the week, especially when several deliveries arrive at once. We don't have a big marketing team, so most people find us because they live nearby or saw one of our boards at a site. We handle the paperwork and the actual building work ourselves. It’s a lot of coordination with masons and electricians. Sometimes the rain slows us down, which is common here. We just try to get the houses built and keep things organized. It's practical work that keeps us on our feet most of the day. We’ve stayed in this part of Chennai because it’s where we know the people and the local rules. It’s a busy life, but we like it.
