Green White

Green White is situated at 40/31 Vinayagapuram Main Road in the MDDA Colony area of Arumbakkam. It’s a busy spot, especially with the morning traffic on the main road. We’ve been here for a good while, and the shop has become a bit of a landmark for local people looking for stone. Our space is filled with various slabs, and we try to keep them organized, but it’s a constant struggle with new arrivals coming in every week. The yard gets a bit cramped, but we make it work. Most of our days are spent talking to builders or homeowners who are trying to pick the right shade for their stairs or floors. It’s a lot of pressure for them, so we just let them wander around and look at the stone in different lights. We don't have any professional designers on staff, just us and what we know from years of handling the material. The floor is always covered in a thin layer of stone dust, and the air smells like wet rock. We have a small bench out front where we sit and have our lunch. It’s a simple life. We don’t do any big promotions or ads. People find us by word of mouth or by seeing the slabs lined up as they drive toward the colony. We just show up every morning and get to work.
