Greaves Cotton Limited - Chennai

Our office is in Lakshmi Chambers, right on Anna Salai in the Little Mount area of Saidapet. It’s a well-known building, No. 30. Greaves Cotton Limited has been in Chennai for a long time, and this spot in Saidapet is quite convenient. Traffic there can be quite a nightmare, though. It’s a busy stretch of road. Inside the office, things are a bit more regulated than a small shop, but it still has a local feel. We have our desks and our tea breaks. Being in Lakshmi Chambers means we’re close to the metro and buses, which helps everyone get to work. The building itself has that older charm. You'll see mostly calendars and charts on the walls instead of fancy art. We handle a lot of industrial-related tasks here. There’s always someone coming in for a meeting or a delivery being dropped off. We try to keep things organized, but on busy days, it can get a bit hectic. Saidapet is a good place to be because everything is accessible. We’ve grown accustomed to the noise of the city outside our windows. This is just how life is here. We focus on the work at hand and try to make sure we're getting through the daily logs. There is a small canteen nearby where we usually get our lunch when we don't bring food from home.
