Gokul Steel Industries

Our location is at No 1A on Broadway, right near the Mannady Police Quarters. If you know Broadway, you know how packed it gets. There are people, carts, and vehicles everywhere. We operate out of this spot, and it’s a lot of steel and heavy lifting. We deal with different types of metal daily. The noise can be quite loud when we are moving pipes or sheets around. Being near the police quarters makes it easy for people to find us, though parking is always a struggle. The shop is old and has a lot of character, or at least that’s what we call the cracks in the walls. We don't have a showroom. The steel is just stacked up where there is space. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for a long time. Our customers are mostly local builders or people who need a bit of steel for a repair. We don't do big marketing campaigns. We just open up in the morning and start working. Sometimes we have to move stuff out onto the sidewalk just to get to the pieces in the back. It’s a bit of a puzzle every day. The air is always a bit metallic smelling, and we are usually covered in some kind of grease or rust by noon. It is hard work, but it is what we know at Gokul Steel Industries. We don't mind the sweat and dirt because it means the job is getting done.
