You can find us at 282 Lingi Chetty Street, right in the middle of Parry'S Corner. If you know Chennai, you know how busy this area gets. It’s crowded, loud, and full of history. Our building has been here for a long time, and so have we. Gimpex Ltd. deals with minerals and industrial materials, so there’s always talk about mines and shipments going on in the hallways. The office has those high ceilings and old-style fans that struggle against the Chennai heat. We aren't one of those new tech companies with fancy couches. We have heavy wooden desks and old cabinets full of samples. Most of the day is spent coordinating with people at the ports or out at the sites. Traffic on Lingi Chetty Street is a nightmare, so we mostly walk to nearby offices if we need to meet someone. The air smells like the sea and exhaust fumes from the trucks. We’ve been operating from this corner for decades, and we've seen businesses come and go. Our staff has been with us for years, and they know the regulars by name. It’s a busy place with people always rushing in and out with folders and papers. Sometimes the phones won't stop ringing and other times it's oddly quiet. We just keep doing what we’ve always done, moving minerals from one part of the world to another. It's a solid, old-fashioned way of doing business in a very old part of town.
