Genuine Metal Finishers is tucked away at No.563/B, Mth Road, inside the Rice Mill Complex in Ambattur. It’s an old building, and you can tell it’s been used for industrial work for a long time by the state of the walls. We do various types of metal finishing and coating here. It’s a messy process with tanks and chemicals and a lot of rinsing involved. The air always smells a bit like metal and cleaning agents, which is something you just stop noticing after a week. We don't have a fancy showroom or a lobby. Most people just drop off their parts at the loading dock and pick them up a few days later when they are shiny or coated. Ambattur is a busy area for this kind of work, so there's always a lot of movement around the complex. We have a small team of workers who have been doing this for decades. They don't need instructions most of the time; they just know by looking at the metal what needs to be done. We’ve had the same old machinery for a long time, and it works just fine for what we need to do. Sometimes the power goes out or the water supply is slow, and we just have to wait it out. It’s not a high-tech operation, just a lot of manual labor and keeping an eye on the finishes. We don't make any big promises, we just do the work.
