Galaxy Computers

We are Galaxy Computers, and you can find us at 192 Valluvarkottam High Road. We are on the first floor, so you have to head up the stairs to get to us. Nungambakkam is a really active area, and there is always something going on outside our windows. We’ve been here for a good while, fixing laptops and putting together systems for people. The shop isn't very large. It’s mostly taken up by workbenches and shelves full of motherboards, power supplies, and old monitors. It’s a bit of a tech graveyard in the corners, but we use those parts for testing all the time. People come to us when their computers start acting up or won't turn on. We don't use any fancy diagnostic machines; we just use our hands and what we’ve learned over the years. It’s honest work. Sometimes we are here late into the evening trying to finish a tricky repair that just won't go right. The heat in Chennai can be a problem for the machines, so we spend a lot of time cleaning out dust and replacing fans. We don't have a big sales team. It is usually just one or two of us behind the counter. We talk to people plainly about what’s wrong with their gear and what it will take to fix it. We like being in Nungambakkam because it’s central and easy for our customers to reach us. It’s just a regular local computer shop where we do our work every single day.
