G V Transport

G V Transport is tucked away on Moore Street in Parrys. We actually use two spaces, 15/15 and 15/19. If you know Parrys, you know how crowded and loud it gets. There are people everywhere, and the smell of the market is always in the air. Our office is right in the thick of it. It’s an old part of the city, and the buildings reflect that. We have small rooms filled with ledgers and phones that seem to ring every five minutes. It’s a lot of manual work, keeping track of where the trucks are and when they’re supposed to arrive. We don't have a computer for everything; some things are still done the old-fashioned way with a pen and a notebook. The staff is like a small family. We’ve seen each other through all sorts of weather and busy seasons. We usually have our tea standing up because there isn't much room to sit down once the paperwork starts piling up. It’s a bit chaotic, but there’s a system to it that only we really understand. We don't use fancy titles or have big meetings. We just shout across the room when something needs to be done. It’s a real local business, through and through. We’ve been on Moore Street for years and we wouldn't know what to do with ourselves in a quiet, modern office. The noise is just part of the job we do.
