Farms Coupe Agrotech (India) Private Limited

Our setup is a bit different because we are based in Chetpet, right on Harrington Road. It’s a busy part of Chennai, but our hearts are really out in the fields. We operate from New No 12, which used to be Old No 16. It’s an old plot that we’ve turned into our headquarters. We aren’t your typical city company. Most of us have roots in farming families from various parts of India, and we wanted to use what we know about technology to help the agrotech side of things. It gets a little crowded in the office with all the laptops and maps, but we try to keep a practical handle on things. We spend a lot of time traveling back and forth between the city and the rural areas where the actual farming happens. It’s a lot of coordination and sometimes things get messy with logistics. We don’t have a fancy reception desk or a corporate handbook. We just talk to people, figure out what the farms need, and try to provide that through our network. We’ve had to learn how to balance the fast pace of Chennai with the slower, more patient pace of the countryside. It isn't always a perfect fit, but we are doing our best to bridge that gap. We just want to make sure the food gets from the ground to the market efficiently. It's a lot of work but someone has to do the boring office part of farming.
