Farida Classic Shoes Ltd.

Our place, Farida Classic Shoes Ltd., is located at number 936 on Evr Periyar High Road. It is a very busy stretch of road, so there is always something going on outside our doors. Inside, we are mostly focused on making shoes. It involves a lot of different steps, from cutting the soles to stitching the uppers together. We have been doing this for quite some time now. The building is an older one, and it has that specific smell of rubber and leather that you only find in a shoe factory. We have a team of workers who have been with us for years; they know the machines better than anyone. We aren't a high-end boutique with carpets and soft lighting. It’s a functional space with concrete floors and rows of workstations. We make sure the shoes are sturdy because that is what people expect from us. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to fix them ourselves, which can be a bit of a chore. We keep a regular schedule, starting early in the morning and finishing up when the sun goes down. Most people in the area know the building by its number. We don't do much in the way of advertising. We just stick to the basics of shoemaking and let the product speak for itself. It’s a lot of hard work, but we are proud of what we do here and we hope to keep at it.
