Expanded Metal Mart

We are over at No. 46 on Devaraja Mudali Street in the Park Town area. If you have ever walked down this street, you know how narrow and busy it is every single day. It is full of hardware shops and people moving heavy stuff on handcarts. Our shop is packed floor to ceiling with all kinds of metal mesh and expanded sheets. There is not much room to move around once the new stock arrives and sits in the aisles. We spend our days measuring out pieces and cutting them to size for customers who walk in from the street. It is noisy and there is always a bit of metal dust in the air. We do not have a website or any of that modern stuff. People just know we are here because we have been in Park Town for so long. The guys who work here have strong hands because they are lifting heavy rolls of wire and metal all day. It is a tough business and your clothes get dirty pretty fast with the grease and rust. Sometimes we have to move half the inventory out onto the pavement just to reach the stuff stored at the back of the shop. It is a bit of a puzzle every morning getting the place ready for customers. We know the other shopkeepers on the street and we all help each other out when a delivery truck gets stuck in the lane. It is just a simple mart.
