Evergreen Herbs

Our place is at 21/33 on Vannier Street in Porur. If you know the area, you know it’s a pretty lively part of Chennai. There are shops everywhere and the traffic can be a real headache sometimes, but it’s where we’ve set up shop. We deal with herbs mostly, so there’s often a bit of a dry, earthy smell around the entrance. We spend our mornings sorting through what comes in from the suppliers. Some days it’s more busy than others, especially when a big shipment arrives and we have to find space for everything in our small storage area. The walls are lined with bags and boxes, and we try to keep things as organized as we can so we don't lose track of anything important. It’s a local operation, and most of the people working here live close by. We don't have a fancy showroom; it’s more of a working space where the real business happens. Sometimes people walk in looking for something specific, and we have to dig through the back to find it. The ceiling fans stay on all day because it gets quite warm, especially in the afternoons. We just focus on getting the orders out and making sure the herbs are kept in decent condition. It’s just a regular day-to-day grind on a busy street in Porur, keeping things simple and making sure we get the labels right before anything goes out the door.
