Precision Engineering Product

Our workshop is at No. 27/20, Plot No. 6 in Mullai Nagar, which is part of the Ernavoor area. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here, but it’s a quiet spot once you’re off the main road. Precision Engineering Product has a pretty simple setup. It’s mostly just a large open floor with a few machines bolted down. The roof is corrugated metal, so it gets really loud when it rains, and we have to shout to hear each other. We have a small office space carved out near the front gate with a couple of chairs for visitors, though we don't get many of those. The gate is painted blue, but the paint is peeling off at the bottom because of the salt in the air. We are fairly close to the coast, so things tend to rust quickly if we don't keep an eye on them. Most of the guys who work here are from the local area and they know the machines inside out. We don’t have a fancy coffee machine, just a small stove where we boil water for tea. The floor is swept every evening, but by the next morning, there’s always a fresh layer of fine metal dust. It’s just the nature of the work we do. We stay busy with the local orders that come in from the nearby plots.
