Equator Shipping Pvt. Ltd. is found on the 1st Floor at 127, Thambu Chetty Street. If you know this part of the city, you know that Thambu Chetty Street is quite old and has a lot of history. The buildings here are packed close together, and there is always a lot of trade happening in every corner. Our office is just one flight up. It’s a busy street, so there is always the sound of horns and people talking coming up from the ground. We have been working from this location for quite some time now. Our daily routine involves a lot of shipping documents and coordination. We sit at our desks and work through the lists and the emails that come in overnight. The office has high ceilings and old-style windows, which gives it a bit of character. We don't have much in the way of fancy furniture. It’s mostly just functional tables and shelves filled with ledgers and files. There is a small area where we keep the courier envelopes and packing materials. We get along well with the other businesses in the building. It’s a very traditional way of working. We don't use any high-tech systems that we don't need. We just stick to what works and make sure that we are keeping our records straight. It’s a lot of manual work and staying on top of the details, but that is how we like it.
