Eljo India (Steel Plast)

You can find us at 60, Kundrathur Road in Porur. The business is called Eljo India, though we also use the name Steel Plast because we work with both of those materials. It’s a very busy road, and there is always a lot of dust and noise from the passing trucks and buses. We have a modest setup here where we manufacture various items. Some days we are busy with steel parts, and other days it is all about plastic molding and shaping. It keeps the work interesting because the processes are so different. We aren’t a giant factory, just a local production unit with a few dedicated workers. The workshop can get a bit cramped when we have a big shipment ready to go out. We don’t have any polished sales people or a corporate office. It is just the owner and a few staff members handling everything from taking orders to loading the finished goods. Porur is a good place to be because it connects well to other parts of the city. We have been here for quite a while and have seen the neighborhood grow around us. Most of our customers come to us because they’ve heard we do steady work. We don’t make any big promises, we just take the orders and try to get them finished on time. It is a lot of hard work, but we are used to the routine by now. We just keep our heads down and get the work done.
