DUGLAS CITADEL CONSTRUCTION PRIVATE LIMITED is located in the Perungudi area of Chennai. Our specific spot is at Desk No 173, which is inside building number 4/608 on V.O.C Street, just off the OMR. If you know the Old Mahabalipuram Road, you know it is the heart of the IT corridor and the traffic is usually standing still. We work out of a shared space, which is practical for us because we are usually out at construction sites anyway. We handle various building projects around the city, from small renovations to bigger structural work. The office is just a place to keep our laptops and meet up once in a while to discuss the next job. Our team is small and we don't go in for much polish. We wear boots and dusty clothes more often than suits. Building things in Chennai is tough because of the heat and the logistical problems of getting materials through the narrow streets. We don't have a big corporate story to tell. We just show up at the site, manage the laborers, and try to get the walls up according to the plan. It is hard work and often stressful when things don't go as planned, but we have been doing it long enough to not get rattled. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay organized at our little desk in Perungudi.
