Doris (India) Engineers Pvt Ltd is located at No. 389 and 390 on Arcot Road in Kodambakkam. This is a very busy part of the city, and our office sits right in the thick of it. If you look out the window, you’ll see a never-ending line of traffic and people heading to the shops nearby. We’ve been in these two units for quite a long time. It’s an engineering firm, so the office is filled with blueprints, technical manuals, and some older computers. It’s not the kind of place with modern art on the walls or glass partitions. It’s a bit more practical and rough around the edges. We don't have a marketing department to come up with slogans. We just focus on the engineering problems that our clients bring us. Our staff is mostly made up of people who have been in the industry for decades. We drink a lot of tea and talk through the projects at the big table in the center of the room. Kodambakkam is a lively place to work, and there is always somewhere to grab a quick snack or meet a friend. The building is a bit older and the stairs can be steep, but it has character. We like being on Arcot Road because it makes us easy to find, even if the parking is a bit of a nightmare. We just keep our heads down and get the engineering work done.
