Our office is located at 2/16, Sullivan street, right in the Santhome area of Chennai. It is a pretty straightforward setup we have here. We deal with tax returns, company audits, and general bookkeeping every single day. The building is older, and Sullivan street can get quite crowded with traffic, but we like being in this part of town. Inside, it is mostly the sound of keyboards clicking and calculators going off. We spend a lot of time looking at spreadsheets and trying to keep everything organized for the people who come to see us. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that is just part of living in the city. We aren't big on decorations; we mostly just have shelves full of files and legal books. It is a small team here, so we all know what each other is working on. We take our lunch breaks together when we can, usually talking about anything but taxes. People stop by with questions about their filings or just to drop off a few documents they forgot earlier in the week. We try to keep things simple and get the forms filed on time without making a big fuss about it. It’s just regular work for regular people, and we have been at it for a long time now. The street outside is noisy, but inside we just focus on the ledgers.
