Dhanam Blue Metal

If you head down to No: 7C on Durai Kannu Street in Old Pallavaram, you will find us working away with all the blue metal. It is a gritty job, and there is always a layer of fine stone dust on the ground and the gates. We have been in this spot for a while, and the neighbors know the sound of our trucks coming in and out. Blue metal is heavy stuff, so there is a lot of vibration and noise when the loads are being moved. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It is just a practical yard where the work happens every day from early morning until the sun goes down. The street can be a bit narrow for the bigger trucks, so we have to be careful how we manage the traffic around the entrance. Sometimes the heat in Old Pallavaram is quite intense, making the physical work even harder, but we are used to it by now. We mostly deal with local builders and people doing small renovations who need a specific amount of crushed stone. It’s a lot of manual work and checking the weights to make sure everything is right. We don’t go in for big speeches or anything; we just show up, move the stone, and handle the orders as they come in. It is a simple, honest way to make a living in this part of the city.
