Devi Engineering Construction

We are tucked away in the basement floor of Bali Towers. That’s at No.1 Abdul Razack Street, right off Anna Salai in Saidapet. It’s a bit of a busy area, as anyone who knows Chennai will tell you. Being in the basement means it stays a little cooler than the street outside, which is a relief during the summer months. Devi Engineering Construction has been here for a bit now. We spend our days dealing with various building plans and talking to contractors. The traffic on Anna Salai is always humming in the background, but you get used to it after a week or two. Our office isn't very large, so we have to be organized with all the folders and maps we keep. We have a couple of computers that are a few years old and a printer that sometimes acts up when we are in a hurry. Most of the people who come to see us are locals from Saidapet or nearby areas. We don't have a big reception area or anything. It's just a place where we sit and figure out how to get the construction jobs done right. We usually have some tea around four o'clock and talk about what’s happening in the city. It’s a practical setup for us since we spend so much time out at different sites anyway.
