Deccan Metal Industries

Deccan Metal Industries is located at B-10 in the Sidco Industrial Estate over in Kodungaiyur. We deal with metal, as the name says. It is mostly sheets and rods that we cut or shape for different uses. The estate is pretty crowded, and our unit B-10 is always full of stacks of material. It is a loud place to work because of the hammers and the saws, but you get used to the rhythm after a while. We are not a fancy outfit with a glass front. It is a workshop through and through. The guys here have been working with metal for years, so they know how it behaves. We get people coming in from all over the area looking for specific pieces for their projects. Sometimes we are working on big industrial orders, and other times it is just something small for a local guy building a gate. We try to keep things moving so nothing sits around for too long. The air is always a bit metallic smelling, and the floor is never really clean no matter how much we sweep. It is just the nature of the business. We focus on the metal and getting it out the door. That is what we have always done here. We do not need much else besides our tools and some raw material to keep us busy.
