D S L Fabricators is located at 57/B in the Sidco Industrial Estate over in Ambattur. If you come by this part of town, you know it's mostly warehouses and workshops. Our place isn't anything fancy to look at from the outside. Inside, it's pretty much what you'd expect from a fabrication shop. There is the smell of burnt metal and the sound of grinders going most of the day. We’ve got our tools set up just the way we like them. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, especially when we have a lot of welding work lined up. The fans try their best but it’s just part of the job. We don't really do the whole corporate thing with glossy brochures or a big sales team. Usually, it's just us in our work gear handling whatever comes in. Ambattur is a busy area so there is always a lot of movement around 57/B. We just keep our heads down and get the fabrication done. Sometimes the floor is a bit cluttered with offcuts and scrap, but that’s how a real workshop looks when people are actually working. We don't spend much time worrying about the decor. The main thing is the machinery stays running and the orders get finished. It's a straightforward way to earn a living and we've been doing it this way for quite a while now. We are just regular people doing metal work.
