D I Architecture

D I Architecture operates out of No B-6 in the Golden Jubilee Apartments. We are right on Ashok Pillar Salai in K K Nagar, which is a pretty well-known spot. Working in an apartment building is a bit different than a regular commercial office. It feels more personal and quiet, though you can still hear the neighbors sometimes. We have our desks set up in the main rooms and the shelves are stuffed with architecture books and material catalogs. We focus on both the architecture and the interior side of projects. K K Nagar is a nice area and being near the Ashok Pillar makes it easy for folks to find us. Most of our day is spent drawing or on the phone with suppliers. We aren't a big, polished corporation with a bunch of secretaries. If you call, you usually just talk to one of us directly. We like it that way. There is always a lot of work to do, and the table in the middle is usually covered in floor plans and half-eaten lunches. We just try to get the designs right so that the building part goes smoothly. It’s a lot of checking the details and making sure the measurements are correct. We’ve been here for a while and we just keep doing our thing, one drawing at a time, in this little apartment office.
