Coromandel Engineering Co Ltd is located over in West Tambaram. Our actual spot is Flat No 1 in the Amal Nagar Extension. Chennai 600045 is the area code if you are sending mail. West Tambaram is a busy part of the city, and being in an extension means it's a bit tucked away from the heaviest traffic. We are in a residential-style building, specifically on the ground floor since it’s Flat 1. It makes it easier for loading things in and out. Engineering work involves a lot of documents and sometimes equipment. We’ve been at this Chennai location for some years now. It’s a humble space. We don't have a big lobby or a security guard at the front. Just the front door and our desks inside. Most of our work happens on-site, but this is where the management happens. The neighborhood of Amal Nagar is mostly families, so it stays relatively quiet during the day while we work. We have a small team here. We use the kitchen for lunch breaks and the main room for our meetings. It feels more like a home office than a corporate site. We prefer it that way. It’s honest work. Sometimes the Chennai heat is a lot, but we have our fans running. If you’re coming from the main Tambaram station, it’s just a short ride away. We usually close up around six in the evening and head home like everyone else in the building.
